The stars of the '70s
Hi my friends - I'm back! And from now on, I will talk about the forgotten stars of the '70s.
From Wikipedia:
"Charlie's Angels is a television series about three women who work for a private investigation agency, and is one of the first shows to showcase women in roles traditionally reserved for men. The series was broadcast in the USA on the ABC Television Network from 1976 to 1981 and was one of the most successful series of the 1970s. Charlie's Angels was created by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts and produced by Aaron Spelling and Leonard Goldberg. In pre-production, the original proposed title was The Alley Cats.
Three women, the Angels (originally Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett-Majors, and Jaclyn Smith), graduated from the Los Angeles police academy only to be assigned such duties as handling switchboards and directing traffic. They quit and were hired to work for the Charles Townsend Agency as private investigators. Their boss, Charlie (voiced by John Forsythe), is never seen full face — in some episodes the viewer gets to see the back of his head and his arms, talking through a phone while surrounded by beautiful women — assigning cases to the Angels and his liaison, Bosley (played by David Doyle), via a speaker phone."

Debbie Reynolds - Am I That Easy To Forget?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcDueBnQfpg&feature=related Debbie Reynolds sang this song, "Am I That Easy To Forget?" to Eddie Fisher, her ex-husband who had deserted her to have an open affair with Elizabeth Taylor. But this song made her hit Billboard top 25, proving that the whole world was behind her! Her daughter, Carrie Fisher was the famous Princess Leia in the original Star Wars movies, episodes 4, 5 and 6.
Excerpt from Wikipedia: -
"Reynolds was born Mary Frances Reynolds, the second child of Maxine and Raymond Francis Reynolds. Her family moved to Burbank, California in 1939. At age 16, Reynolds won the Miss Burbank Beauty Contest and a motion picture contract with Warner Brothers. That's how she acquired her new first name.
Reynolds regularly appeared in movie musicals, most notably "Singing In The Rain", during the 1950s and chalked up several hit records despite an only intermittent career as a recording artist. Her song "Aba Daba Honeymoon" was a top 3 hit in 1951. She is also remembered for her smash recording of the theme song "Tammy" which earned her a gold record and was the best-selling single by a female vocalist in 1957 and was number one for 5 weeks on the Billboard pop charts. Reynolds also scored two additional top 25 Billboard hits with "A Very Special Love" in 1958 and 1960's "Am I That Easy To Forget", a pop version of a country hit made famous by both songwriter Carl Belew in 1959, Skeeter Davis in 1960, and several years later by Engelbert Humperdinck."

BEEP BEEP BY The Playmates!
Do You remember this song?
BEEP BEEP By the Playmates
http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=yUAszi-PHps&feature=related
[Very slowly]
Beep beep beep beep
His horn went beep beep beep
While riding in my Cadillac
What to my surprise
A little Nash Rambler was following me
About one third my size
The guy musta wanted to pass me up
As he kept on tooting his horn
I'll show him that a Cadillac is not a car to scorn
Beep beep beep beep
His horn went beep beep beep
[Slowly]
I pushed my foot down to the floor
To give the guy the shake
But the little Nash Rambler stayed right behind
He still had on his brake
He musta thought his car had more guts
As he kept on tooting his horn (beep beep)
I'll show him that a Cadillac is not a car to scorn
Beep beep beep beep
His horn went beep beep beep
[Normal speed]
My car went into passing gear
And we took off with gust (whoosh)
Soon we were going ninety
Musta left him in the dust
When I peeked in the mirror of my car
I couldn't believe my eyes
The little Nash Rambler was right behind
You'd think that guy could fly
Beep beep beep beep
His horn went beep beep beep
[Quickly]
Now we were doing a hundred and ten
This certainly was a race
For a Rambler to pass a Caddy
Would be a big disgrace
The guy musta wanted to pass me up
As he kept on tooting his horn (beep beep)
I'll show him that a Cadillac is not a car to scorn
Beep beep beep beep
His horn went beep beep beep
[Very quickly]
Now we're going a hundred twenty
As fast as I can go
The Rambler pulled along side of me
As if we were going slow
The fella rolled down his window
And yelled for me to hear
"Hey buddy how do I get this car outa second gear?"

回文詩
From another website:

I'll be in Hong Kong for 3 Months...
Hello everyone:
I'll be travelling again this Friday, this time, to Hong Kong for almost 3 months. So, I may not have time to write a lot of stuff here. I will also be attending the Cantonese Opera Festival to be held in Quangdong in November, (I'll post some pictures later).
In the meantime, let me dedicate the following song to you all. This is one of my favourite songs of all time. It's call "Come Softly To Me" by The Fleetwoods. This group formed in the '50s, before the days of The Beatles. It is amazing that they sound pretty much the same even after 50 years.
Gary Troxel and Gretchen Christopher, were 2 students waiting for their parent(s) to pick them up after school. They started humming a song together, and later they asked Gretchen's friend, Barbara Ellis, to join them as a trio, and called themselves, The Fleetwoods.
